DreamCamIp is a free software for viewing one or more ip cameras on television with some models of satellite equipment that run under linux. This was compiled on enigma1 and tested in a dm500+, dm600pvr, dm7000, dm7020 and CubeRevo.

This project was conceived by two ideas: firstly, using the dreambox as video door-entry system and secondly using dreambox as an infant monitoring system. As well as these, there are many more uses.

Most of the ip cameras implement the MJPEG or proprietary systems. The only universal system to see any ip camera is based on capturing JPEG pictures. DreamCamIp works in this way, it is constantly downloading jpeg snapshots. Has been programed to support MJPEG in the future, but everything depends on how much free time I have.

On the internet there are many of pubic ip cameras. Be careful and respect full of privacy laws.
